Boating
on the Parker River
The Parker River offers excellent scenic opportunities for a variety
of boating. The Upper Parker can be accessed by canoe or
kayak
at many locations because of the vast amount of municipal and
State-owned public open space along its banks. A State public
boat ramp allows motor boat enthusiasts access to Rock Pond in
Georgetown.
Fernalds Marine has new and used boats, canoes and kayaks for sale at
the marina located off Route 1A in Newbury. And get a great tour
of Plum Island and learn about the vast ecosystem of the Parker River
Wildlife Refuge onboard the Joppa Flats (above).
