Fishing in the Parker River Watershed

Numerous opportunites are available for fishing within the Parker River and Plum Island Sound watersheds. Popular game fish in the Sound include striped bass and bluefish and the tidal portion of the Parker River contains striped bass and white perch. Freshwater species found in our rivers, ponds and streams include pickerel, largemouth bass and trout. There are many good fishing locations in our ponds and streams, however, high concentratons of mercury have been found in fish from some of our ponds. For more information follow the links below.
